Post-Season: Preparation for Monty Madness

After competing in our last competition of the regular season, Xtreme Heat is already on the fast track to dominating at Monty Madness. The Philadelphia Regional had plenty of exciting moments but now were ready to show Drako off some more at Monty on May 21st.

Congratulations are in order for our collaboration partner Team 75 for winning the Excellence in Design Award at Championships. Also congrats to 11 and 1676 for making it into the eliminations at Newton. You guys are all awesome.

Xtreme Heat was recently at the 11th Annual Shepherd's Lake 5 K Run. We were so happy to reach out in our community and educate children and parent's alike about First and Team 223. With all the kids interested, it looks like a bright future for the team.

Kate, Abby, and Jenna also had the opportunity to visit Team 75's Women in Science and Engineering event at the Johnson and Johnson Head Quaters in New Brunswick. It was a great experience to see Chiniqua's presentation, speak with multiple female engineers, and to see the members of 75 working with the Girl Scouts. So Congrats on the successful event 75!

Xtreme Heat Gearing Up for Philadelphia

After a less-than-desirable outcome at the NJ Regional, Team 223 is hard at work anticipating much better things for the Philadelphia Regional. With a redesigned arm, faster minibot and as much drivers' practice as possible, we expect a much better performance.

The 2011 FRC Philadelphia Regional will be held from 4/7-4/9 at the Liacouras Center near Temple University. A webcast will be hosted by Team 1517 at this link. Also, be sure to watch our Twitter for updates from the competition.

We'd also like to extend a special good luck message to our fellow collaboration teams, Team 11, Team 75, and Team 1676, who will all be competing at the Virginia Regional this weekend. Good luck guys!

223 Ready to Heat Up The New Jersey Regional!

It is the eve of our first competition this season and Xtreme Heat could not be more excited for the New Jersey Regional. Everything is finally falling into place for Team 223 as we have put together our drive team and have a new addition to the team, namely our beautiful new flag. Can't wait to see you all at the competition!

We're happy to report our collaboration with teams 75, 11, and 1676 is still going strong. We're learning a lot and making new friends by meeting with the other teams.

Team 223's Season So Far

The 2011 season is shaping up to be an exciting new year! Despite losing many seniors last year, we've gotten plenty of great, interested, freshmen, and of course plenty of returning members.

We are also very excited to be involved in a collaboration this year, with three other Northern New Jersey FRC teams: Team 1676, The Pascack Pi-oneers, Team 75, the RoboRaiders, and Team 11, MORT. So far, we've been sharing plenty of ideas for this years game with them, and look forward to collabarating further with them throughout the rest of the season.

With build season almost done, we are starting to kick into overdrive, and working around the clock to make this season as successful as possible. Our first competition will be the New Jersey Regional, taking place from March 3-5 at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton. Following that, we will be at the Philadelphia Regional at the Liacouras Center, located on the campus of Temple University.

We look forward to the many adventures this season, and hope to have as great of a season as possible.
