Step 1: Visit https://www.firstinspires.org/resource-library/youth-team-member-consent-and-release-form, and click on the blue button at the top of the page that says “Complete Registration Now.”

Step 2: Log into your FIRST account. If you have not already created an account with FIRST, please do so now by clicking the “Register” button at the top right corner of the page and return to this step after doing so.

Step 3: Once logged in, you will be brought to your Dashboard. Click on the “My Teams” tab, and click the blue “Apply to a Team” button. Select “FIRST Robotics Competition (Suggested Ages 14-18),” and enter “223” as the team number. The team name that appears should be “Xtreme Heat.” If so, hit the “Apply” button below. If not, double check to make sure you’ve entered the correct number and have selected the appropriate program.

Step 4: After you have returned to the Dashboard, click on the “Parent/Guardian – Youth” tab. From here, click to invite a parent/guardian to complete the required consent forms. Parents will then need to create a FIRST account under that same email and sign the form of the student they have been invited by previously in this step.

(Note: Parents will only be able to successfully complete the consent forms if done so through an account using the same email as invited by the student. If done by a different email, the consent form will not complete successfully.)

Step 5: Once the parental consent forms have been successfully completed, you’re all set! You will now be able to partake in the coming year’s build season and travel with the team to our competitions. 🙂
